TRANSITIO_MX 02 / ELECTRÓNIC ARTS AND VIDEO FESTIVAL

The organizers of the Festival consider the community as the very heart of the creation that fills the essence of the event. It is conformed by a complex group, constituted by people coming from various areas of knowledge, geographic regions, and artistic, social and scientific disciplines. They all converge in this space we call electronic art. This edition of the Festival welcomes all such groups, regardless of the type of technology, tool or language that they use. Only through the inclusion and recognition of our knowledge and experience we will be able to shape a more productive, generous, expansive and truly transdisciplinary community.

Grace Quintanilla
Artistic Director of the Festival

Dates:
The Festival will take place October 12-20th, 2007.

FESTIVAL 2007

We are waiting for this event with great expectations. You can’t miss Transitio_mx, it is the most comprehensive international electronic arts and video Festival held in Mexico.
We extend an invitation to the artistic community of all the various disciplines that integrate the electronic arts and to all the young people interested in the expressive and projective possibilities that technology offers.
This biennial forum is considered a great opportunity to watch and present the artistic work produced both nationally and internationally in disciplines such as videoart, net.art, sound art, installation and performing arts.

NOMADIC BORDERS

This second edition of Transitio is called Nomadic Borders, making an allusion to the border as the symbolic place where convergence occurs. The richness of these coincidences in the journey through this space is what makes us a community, what brings us together is the passage through this area. Thus, artists from different disciplines, businessmen, scientists, collectors, technologists, curators, academics and other participants recognize ourselves as a community and create works, sources of knowledge and solid social bonds, which can be both productive and enriching.

The proposal for this edition integrates the production process as part of the Festival; we consider Transitio as if it had already started and will be enriched by the gradual inclusion of all the actors that will take it to culmination, in a carnivalesque celebration during October this year.

Come with us and take part of this adventure.
